Dr. Sunita Shaunak B.D.S (Lond.) L.D.S.R.C.S.(Eng.), is a graduate of the University of London.
She has over 30 years of wide-ranging professional experience, which includes owning and running her own dental practices, examining, teaching, lecturing and supervising students at Universities, working as a Principal Dentist with Queensland Health, working in school dental vans, in aged care facilities and as a Principal Dentist/ manager and consultant for an Aboriginal health service.
She enjoys working with children, and has a particular interest in the effects of oral health and health-care on a person’s general and long-term well-being.
In 2008, Dr. Shaunak was invited to meet with then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in relation to child safety, health and welfare issues. She was subsequently invited by the Prime Minister’s office to participate in the Health Stream of the 2020 Australia Summit.
As she has progressed through her professional career, Dr. Shaunak has become increasingly aware of the need to be conservative in healthcare, and of encouraging all her patients to maintain a healthy diet at home with good oral hygiene habits.
